Who owns the data and the app? +
You own everything. Your data lives in your own Google account or Microsoft 365 tenant — DamWorks never has access to it. Once the project closes, the app is yours and you can run it independently.
Do I need any technical knowledge to use the app? +
None. The app is designed for normal people, not IT professionals. If you can use a website, you can use the app. We handle all the technical setup and train your team before handoff.
Are there monthly fees after I pay the setup cost? +
No monthly fees from DamWorks. You may already be paying for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 — the app runs on that. Netlify hosting (Google Edition) has a free tier that covers most small businesses. No new subscriptions required.
How long does the build take? +
Timeline is scoped and agreed on during the discovery call — before anything is signed. It depends on the complexity of your requirements, the number of templates, and your team's availability to review and give feedback. We build a realistic schedule together so there are no surprises on either side.
What if I need changes after the project closes? +
Minor changes during the 30-day testing period are included. After close, a 30-day support period is included for questions and guidance. Anything beyond that — new features, integrations, or architectural changes — is available as a change order at our then-current rate.
Is this right for my industry? +
If your business manages clients, jobs, or cases and you're doing it manually — yes. DamWorks is set up to build apps for service businesses like law firms, therapy practices, landscaping companies, contractors, and consultants, where the day-to-day work looks different but the underlying pattern (intake, track, deliver, bill) is similar. The discovery process is designed to capture what makes your business unique.
What's the difference between the Google and Microsoft editions? +
The core features are identical. The difference is the infrastructure: the Google Edition stores data in Google Sheets and Drive, while the Microsoft Edition uses SharePoint. If your team already uses Microsoft 365, go Microsoft. If you're on Gmail and Google Drive, go Google. Not sure? We'll help you decide on our first call.
